Off the Cuff

Festival of Improvised Theatre. 29th Sept - 1st Oct. Brisbane Powerhouse

About Us

The Off the Cuff festival began in 2008 with the aim of show casing the best improvised shows from around Australian and New Zealand for Brisbane audiences. It has staged over-the-top musicals, rapid fire competitions, and creepy fireside tales, and played host to some of Australia's finest and most experienced improvisation performers and actors.

The festival is produced by Brisbane's most established improvised theatre company - ImproMafia. ImproMafia has been delighting audiences with its work for seven years, and currently performs regular shows at the Brisbane Arts Theatre and the Albion Comedy Club. Its work covers everything from radio plays to schlock horror, and murder mysteries to hilarious "Whose Line is it, Anyway?" style short-form shows.

ImproMafia is excited to be hosting this year's festival, which brings together some of Australia's most exceptional improvisers to show off their stuff, and compete in the Theatresports National Championships.
